Boot_Camp_Fundraiser_MEFb58071Letter to the Editor: The Melrose Education Foundation thanks everyone who attended our Work Out-Night Out kickoff events on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Many families started their day with a Work Out led by Joy Fay of Melrose Boot Camp to benefit the foundation. That evening, parents, educators, school administrators, and city and state leaders gathered at the Beebe Estate for a Night Out. The events raised awareness about the foundation’s mission and raised nearly $3,000 to support our teachers and students.

Special thanks go out to Melrose Public School educators Bryan Corrigan and Kim Talbot, Superintendent Cyndy Taymore and Mayor Rob Dolan, who shared their vision for the foundation and how it will support innovative teaching and learning in Melrose.

We are very grateful to our partners and sponsors: Whole Foods Market-Melrose, Melrose Boot Camp, Absolutely Fabulous, Hannaford & Dumas Commercial Printing, and Music 101, whose owners and fabulous young students provided music for the evening.
