Following its successful round of grants to educators this fall, the Melrose Education Foundation announces the availability of mini-grants to Melrose Public Schools staff.
The foundation is pleased to make available a limited amount of funding for smaller grants to support professional development, technology, curriculum materials, and classroom-based projects that enhance curriculum. These grants of up to $300 each, which will be awarded on a rolling basis, may be used by educators this spring and/or during the summer months in preparation for the 2014-15 school year.
Online grant applications will be accepted starting April 15. Grants will be made on a rolling basis from April 15-May 15, or until funding is exhausted. Applicants should kindly note the following:
The Melrose Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises private funds to provide grants for initiatives that will enrich curriculum and offer opportunities that are beyond the reach of the district’s budget. The foundation also partners with the city of Melrose and the Melrose Public School District to sponsor community forums on topics of interest in education.
The foundation depends on the strong support of individual donors and corporate partners, as well as a dedicated group of volunteers. To learn more or make a donation, visit www.melroseedfoundation.org, follow them on Facebook at facebook.com/MelroseED and on Twitter @MelroseED
