Parent University

A morning of workshops for caregivers of students of all ages. 

The event is FREE, but registration is required. 

Parent involvement leads to higher rates of a children’s academic success. Melrose Parent University is designed to help empower parents to become effective advocates for their children.

  • 8 – 8:30 Registration, coffee, childcare drop off
  • 8:30 – 9 Welcome and address by Superintendent of schools, Cyndy Taymore
  • 9:10 – 10:10 Session 1
  • 10:20 – 11:20 Session 2
  • 11:25 – 11:45 Wrap up/raffles
  • 11:45 – 12 Coffee, mingle, chat with administrators

Onsite Childcare

Preschool childcare provided by staff of the North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network.

Elementary students’ childcare provided by Education Stations.

Kiddos will enjoy story time with Melrose Public Library’s Marianne Stanton and yoga and movement with Joy Fay of Joy Healthy Life.
