MELROSE, MA (September 9, 2013) — The Melrose Education Foundation is offering two great fundraisers on Saturday, September 21: a morning family workout and a night out at the Beebe Estate.
Offered in partnership with Melrose Boot Camp, “Work Out” will get every member of your family outside, moving and having fun. “I truly believe working out should be fun and simple, especially for kids,” said Joy Fay, owner of Melrose Boot Camp. “I’m equally excited to support an organization that’s focused on investing in Melrose youth,” she said.
The family “Work Out” will be held at the Knoll field (across from the middle school, near the dog park) on Saturday, September 21, at 8:00 am. The cost, which is tax-deductible, is $10 per person or $25 for the whole family. Please bring cash, check, or credit card on the day of the event. Checks should be made payable to Melrose Education Foundation.
If a night out is more your speed, celebrate the Foundation’s launch during an evening fundraiser at the Beebe Estate. “Our ‘Night Out’ will be fun, educational, and inspiring,” said Melrose Education Foundation President Lisa Lewis. “We hope everyone interested in supporting Melrose Public Schools staff and students will attend.”
Guests will enjoy music and mingling in the parlors of Melrose’s 185-year-old Greek Revival-style architectural gem. Foundation board members, School Superintendent Cyndy Taymore, Mayor Dolan, and Melrose educators will share stories about how a thriving foundation can impact the learning experiences of Melrose public school students.
Hors d’oeuvres and dessert will be provided by Absolutely Fabulous and Whole Foods. There will be a cash bar. Guests will also have the chance to enter to win raffle items and learn how they can further support the Foundation.
The “Night Out” begins at 7 pm at the Beebe Estate, 235 West Foster Street, Melrose. Tickets are $25 per person (tax deductible) and can be purchased online at www.MelroseEdFoundation.org.
