World Language Week Celebration

This year, the Melrose Education Foundation was able to award mid-year mini-grants. Thanks to this opportunity, new Melrose High School librarian Christy Magoon was able to apply for and receive a Valentine’s Day Boost grant supporting what she hopes will become an annual celebration of  World Language Week. All Melrose High School students were encouraged to attend and the event was a fantastic celebration of biliteracy and bilingualism. In addition to the 5 languages taught at Melrose High School, the celebration also honored and celebrated students with other native languages. The MEF grant allowed Ms Magoon to launch what will hopefully become an annual tradition at MHS!
